Tool Resources

There are a lot of tools out there that deal with designing and coding for the web and sometimes it’s hard to figure out which product is the right one to choose. Well, I decided to list the items that I use with detailed explanations of why I like using them.

I think it helps when you see software in action and get an honest review before making a purchase. So this page will be updated every so often when I’ve found a program, book, or tool that has helped me with my coding and designing projects.

NOTE: Some of the links below contain affiliate links where if you purchase a product through these links, I will receive a commission…with no extra cost to you! Please do not feel the need to buy any of the items I have listed below if you don’t really need it. Thank you for your support!

Adobe Systems

Adobe is the leader of everything that deals with graphic and web design/development, as well as video production. The following programs listed below are what I use on my projects.

Adobe Dreamweaver
Dreamweaver is a very powerful program that assists both designers and coders in developing a website. The software makes it easy for you to add, remove, and modify the contents for your site. Watch this video to see how Adobe Dreamweaver can help you with your website projects go to my YouTube Channel to see it.

Adobe Photoshop
The name itself says that Photoshop is a photo-editing program where you can, of course, edit photos, create multilayer web designs, create textual effects, and much more. Watch this video below to find out more on what Adobe Photoshop is and how it can help you with creating web and graphic designs or see it here on my YouTube Channel.

Adobe Illustrator
If you are an aspiring logo/graphic designer, Illustrator is the tool of choice for you. This program will help you take your sketches and turn them into clean, digitized designs that can be used for both print and web use. Watch this video below to see how to use Adobe Illustrator for your graphic design work or head on over to my YouTube Channel to view it.

Domain & Web Hosting

In order to have your website visible online, you have to have a domain name (a link that represents your website) and a hosting provider (a place for all of your files for your website to be stored so that all of your images, text and videos will be seen). There are tons of options out there but the one that I have used for years is Godaddy.

Godaddy is one of the largest domain and hosting providing websites around and I have been with them since 2007. Their support team have been very gracious and helpful during the times I have had to call and they send out multiple discounts for their services on a weekly basis.
